As we scale our advisory services we’re looking for a smart personable Tax Manager who’s more than just technically sharp—they’re someone clients see as a trusted friend who just happens to be really good with numbers. What You’ll Do Lead Tax Engagements: Review and oversee tax returns prepared by staff (S corps partnerships individuals etc.) Ensure accuracy compliance and timely delivery. Handle complex returns when needed. Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary advisor to a dedicated client book. Communicate proactively with clients to resolve questions deliver updates and identify new advisory needs. Build trust-based relationships that go beyond tax season. Advisory & Strategy Services: Collaborate with leadership to expand our tax strategy business advisory and CFO offerings. Provide proactive tax planning entity structuring and business insights to clients. Help develop internal processes and templates for scalable advisory services. Team Oversight & Development: Supervise mentor and train 1–2 staff members. Lead by example in communication ownership and client care. Provide feedback review work and encourage professional development. Tech-Driven Workflow: Use ProConnect Karbon and Slack to manage workflow collaborate and communicate. Participate in weekly virtual team meetings and occasional in-person firm outings. Who You Are A licensed CPA (or EA) with 6+ years of tax experience including review-level responsibilities. Confident managing S corps partnerships and high-net-worth individuals. Known for excellent communication—you make complex topics feel simple and always leave clients feeling taken care of. Proactive resourceful and self-managed in a remote setting. You enjoy building systems processes and relationships—not just checking boxes. A team player with high standards integrity and a sense of humor.
