Discover us @ www.govstar.us Frontend UI/UX Software Developer (Remote) GovStar seeks a Frontend UI/UX Software Engineer with the technical skills and the drive to support our customers' complex emerging tech initiatives. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience developing intuitive interfaces and seamless experiences for AI applications in the private sector as well as experience supporting federal government technology initiatives. This is an individual contributor role. This individual will spend most of their time writing code. Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Develop and maintain React and TypeScript interfaces for AI/ML applications. Collaborate with designers and backend developers to create seamless user experiences. Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs. Optimize applications for speed and scalability. Conduct code reviews and maintain code quality standards. Implement UI components with a strong focus on usability and accessibility. Collaborate and work effectively with a cross-functional team of designers and backend developers. Follow team development practices and workflows in a modern CI/CD engineering environment. Minimum Requirements: U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance BA/BS in Computer Science or related field and at least 8 years relevant experience (experience may be substituted for education) Must provide examples of real quality code via personal GitHub profile and portfolio (please include links to both on your resume) Strong individual contributor with continuous hands-on coding experience spending approximately 80% of their time writing code Expert-level experience with React and TypeScript Proven track record in building and deploying modern web applications Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication skills Ability to work independently on complex tasks with little direction and management oversight Must currently reside in the United States Preferred Requirements: Familiarity with full-stack development and/or development using additional programming languages such as Python Node.js Ruby and PHP Experience applying design systems such as USWDS and Fluent UI Experience working with cloud services and platforms (Azure or AWS) with a preference for working knowledge of Azure development and AI hosting infrastructure Relevant Technologies: Frontend Development – React TypeScript CSS Database Management – SQL PostgreSQL Version Control – Git GitLab Project Management Tools – Jira Confluence Prototyping and Diagramming Tools – Figma Visio Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Parental leave Vision insurance Work Location: Remote |
