We are seeking a highly experienced Azure Data Engineering Architect to lead and shape data platform initiatives. In this role you will define architecture patterns implement best practices and create reusable accelerators for large-scale Azure data solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams guiding technical decisions mentoring junior engineers and ensuring the delivery of high-quality scalable data platforms. This position requires a strong blend of hands-on technical expertise strategic thinking and client-facing communication skills. You will have the opportunity to influence cloud adoption strategies drive innovation in data engineering and contribute to complex high-impact projects. A deep understanding of Azure services data integration patterns and ETL/ELT frameworks is essential. Accountabilities Lead the Azure pillar within the Data Engineering CoE establishing technical standards and best practices for Azure data platform implementations Design architecture patterns and reusable accelerators for Azure Synapse Analytics Data Factory Azure Databricks and other Azure services Support pre-sales activities providing technical guidance and contributing to proposals for Azure-based opportunities Plan and design migration pathways from legacy systems to Azure environments Create technical documentation playbooks and implementation frameworks to standardize Azure deployments Mentor and coach junior team members on Azure best practices and architecture principles Collaborate with other architects to deliver cross-platform solutions using cloud-agnostic tools such as Snowflake and Databricks Serve as a trusted technical advisor for clients building strong relationships and guiding Azure implementations Requirements 10+ years of experience in data engineering with at least 5 years focused on Azure technologies Deep expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics Azure Data Factory Azure Databricks and Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 Proven experience in designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration patterns Experience migrating legacy systems to Azure and developing reusable templates or accelerators Strong coding skills in Python SQL and Spark experience with .NET is a plus Familiarity with Azure DevOps ARM templates Bicep Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code tools Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or higher Excellent communication skills and experience in client-facing roles Ability to mentor team members and drive adoption of best practices Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a results-oriented mindset Benefits Competitive salary and performance-based incentives Flexible remote work environment Opportunity to work on high-impact innovative Azure data platform projects Professional growth and mentorship from senior technical leaders Exposure to a variety of Azure services and cloud-native architectures Health and wellness benefits Collaborative supportive and knowledge-sharing team culture Jobgether is a Talent Matching Platform that partners with companies worldwide to efficiently connect top talent with the right opportunities through AI-driven job matching.
