Description | We are seeking an experienced IT Telecommunications Specialist to design implement and maintain our organization’s voice data and unified communications infrastructure in a fully remote capacity. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability security and performance of telecom systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors. Key Responsibilities: Design configure and maintain telecom systems including VoIP SIP trunking PBX UCaaS and contact center solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve complex voice/data network issues (latency jitter call drops) in collaboration with carriers (e.g. AT&T Verizon). Manage migrations from legacy systems to cloud-based telecom platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams Direct Routing Zoom Phone RingCentral). Monitor performance using tools like SolarWinds Wireshark or PRTG optimize network QoS for VoIP. Implement and enforce telecom security protocols (e.g. SBC hardening SIP encryption). Oversee vendor relationships contracts and telecom expense management (TEM). Document architectures policies and procedures for compliance (HIPAA SOC 2 etc.). Provide Tier 2/3 support and mentor junior staff. Required Qualifications: 5+ years in telecom/network administration with expertise in: + VoIP/SIP protocols PBX (Cisco CUCM Avaya) and session border controllers (SBCs). + UC platforms (Microsoft Teams Webex 8x8). + Network fundamentals (TCP/IP VLANs QoS SD-WAN). Hands-on experience with telecom carriers and troubleshooting tools. Strong knowledge of cloud communications and hybrid deployments. Ability to work independently in a remote environment. U.S. residency required (no visa sponsorship). Preferred Qualifications: Certifications: CCNA Collaboration CCNP Voice CompTIA Network+. Experience with contact center solutions (Genesys Five9).
