DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting & Payroll Specialist to provide full-cycle bookkeeping payroll processing and finance-related support for a Canada-based service company. You will manage day-to-day accounting tasks ensure compliance with Canadian regulations and maintain accurate financial records while working remotely on MST hours. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate financial transaction records using Xero or similar software. Post and reconcile daily transactions including invoices receipts and payments. Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly. Manage chart of accounts and ensure correct coding. Process accounts payable and receivable including vendor and customer management. Prepare and process payroll for employees and subcontractors. Assist with month-end and year-end financial reports and variance analysis. Maintain organized digital filing systems for financial documents. Ensure compliance with Canadian tax labor and business regulations. Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures. Must-Haves: 3+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience. Experience with Canadian payroll systems and standards. Proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work full-time on MST hours. Preferred: Service-based industry experience managing multiple accounts. Variance analysis and financial reporting experience. Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills. Schedule & Rate: $5.50–$6.00/hour. Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–4:00 PM MST / 9:00 PM–6:00 AM PHT.
