Recently there's been increased media coverage reporting on more companies requiring 'return to office' for their employees, after several years of working remotely. However, research from workbeyond.io, based on extensive internal datasets with remote jobs listings now available publicly, shows that remote jobs continue to be available, in large numbers. Our dataset contains 50K+ recent remote jobs (with an N=230K+ overall, if we include hybrid and on-site jobs), just for Oct / Nov 2024. Studies (Forbes) show that 98% of the workforce prefers some form of remote work, fully or hybrid, since it comes with multiple important benefits (create link to article 3). While the benefis are obvious in the case of remote workers, research also shows that companies offering remote work benefit as well (link to article 3). Tech advances, cybersecurity and remote work tools enable work from anywhere in many types of jobs. Many companies offer remote jobs and there are certain fields and roles where it’s more probable to be able to work from home. As of Nov 2024, these are the top 20 industries most likely to offer remote jobs:
