Job Summary: The Project Engineer will support the design development and execution of battery energy storage projects within a company that has a growing nationwide pipeline of approximately 2GW with individual projects ranging from 10MW to 100MW. The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in optimizing project designs ensuring timely delivery and maintaining quality standards with a particular emphasis on design coordination and interface management with contractors and consultants. Role and Responsibilities: Reporting to Senior Project Manager as Project Engineer you will form part of an expanding team responsible for the design development and delivery of BESS projects. Support the preparation of technical specifications for invitations to tender and contracts. Assist in the design and engineering of battery energy storage systems ensuring alignment with project specifications and industry standards. Design Coordination: Facilitate design reviews and workshops with contractors and consultants to integrate feedback and resolve design issues. Project Management Support:   Assist the assigned Project Manager in planning and executing BESS projects during the full project lifecycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help develop project schedules budgets and resource allocation plans. Technical Oversight: Lead the review and approval of technical documentation drawings and specifications related to BESS projects with a focus on electrical systems. Assist in conducting risk assessments and providing technical solutions to mitigate potential issues during project execution. Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle. Assist in implementing quality control measures to monitor and maintain project standards to include coordinating reviewing or witnessing supplier Factory and Site Acceptance Tests. Stakeholder Communication: Act as a technical point of contact for clients contractors and consultants ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Prepare and present technical reports and project updates to stakeholders particularly on electrical aspects and design coordination efforts. Site Support: Provide on-site support as required during installation and commissioning addressing technical challenges as they arise. Monitor site activities and contractor ITP submissions to ensure adherence to project specifications and regulatory requirements.
