Strong software development experience in Python for automation tooling and orchestration. Familiarity with project management and version control platforms such as GitHub or GitLab along with an understanding of CI/CD pipelines and related workflows and solid understanding of Git and its advanced capabilities. Hands-on experience with cloud technologies such as AWS Azure or GCP. Solid understanding of Docker. Experience with basic database systems and strong proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries. Hands-on experience with AI tools and writing prompts for them. Strong interest in developing integrations with AI tools and LLM agents. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an Automation Sales Specialist to join us in the Netherlands. In this role you will be responsible for Red Hat Automation portfolio subscription sales to prospective and current accounts. You'll need to have the ability to understand customer needs and challenges and link them to a set of Red Hat Ansible offerings. As an Automation Sales Specialist you will be collaborating with Account Teams to build and execute a joint account plan. Your role will include identifying managing and closing sales opportunities in customer accounts through well-planned demand generation efforts in consultation with the account team. What you will do: Understand customer challenges and how the Red Hat Automation portfolio can be used to develop new strategic sales opportunities. Lead customer presentations/sessions around business outcomes Red Hat solutions business value competitive positioning and solution capabilities and product roadmaps. Maintain relevant and detailed knowledge including key differentiators of the products in your domain (features updates success stories etc.) as well as a broader knowledge of the overall Red Hat portfolio. Maintain knowledge and enable account teams on current sales tactics in your domain (ISVs use cases solution blueprints Red Hat Sales Plays etc.). Position right sized solutions (subs services partners) in the context of addressing the customer’s challenges or problems in their environment. Advise on and speak to opportunity forecasts. Identify new opportunities and drive further adoption and expansion at existing customers to scale to other relevant use cases and products. Coordinate with Customer Success Solution Architects and other roles on the delivery of the proposed business value/solution. What you will bring: Relevant consultative technical selling experience in one or more of the following: territory vertical account selling. Highly effective orchestrator and collaborator able to lead a cross-functional team (internal and partner ecosystem) through a complex sales cycle. Persuasive and compelling presenter of business and technical topics - capable of delivering demos for your domain is a plus. Some experience in automation use cases across data center and cloud computing (For example understanding of some of the following: Infrastructure as Code (IaC) DevOps DevSecOps AIOps MLOps security network compliance etc.). Familiar with return on investment (RoI) and business-value arguments preferably around high-degree automation and autonomous operations and how these will result in better customer outcomes. Experience of the MEDDPICC or similar sales framework Fluency in Dutch and English mandatory. Nice to have: Experience with technology offerings and economics of cloud computing. Gurobi recruits annually for our Gurobi Engine MIP School each March. Please note that this is in reference to the future program. Hiring will not begin until January 2026. As a MIP Development Scholar at Gurobi Optimization you will be part of the Gurobi Engine MIP School. With this role we aim to provide training in a 2-year program to promising people that would like to acquire the skills needed to join our Development Team our Technical Experts Team or our Technical Account Management Team. Within these two years you will go through several departments of the company learn what they do and help them do it. You will start your journey with the Gurobi Expert - Technical Advisory and Support Team. There you will be a crucial link between Gurobi and our global customer base. You will learn how our customers use our product and which challenges they face. You will address technical inquiries from product installation to licensing questions model troubleshooting and parameter tuning. Your work will extend way beyond classical customer support as you will contribute to enhancing the user experience help with modeling and tuning and develop technical resources. The main part of your journey as a MIP Development Scholar will then be with the MIP Engine Development Team which maintains and develops the core algorithms at the heart of the Gurobi solver. You will get training sessions with different members of this team. You will also participate in joint projects with our MIP developers. Collaboration is vital and you will work closely with a highly skilled team actively participating in knowledge-sharing sessions team meetings and discussions to foster a culture of continuous learning. The goal of the program is that after the two years of training and education you will have a complete knowledge of the Gurobi Solver: how to use it how to tune it and how to develop and improve it. You will have mastered MIP modeling MIP algorithmic theory and the efficient implementation of numerical and combinatorial algorithms in C. This will set you up for success in one of the technical roles at Gurobi or for some other applied optimization role in academia or industry. ### What will you be doing? Learn about the Gurobi Optimizer from internal and external perspective which includes some customer interaction. Learn all about our core MIP Engine and how to develop code for it. Design implement and benchmark new algorithmic ideas. Proactively identify and resolve bugs detected in the code ensuring the stability and integrity of the Gurobi product. Write tests to ensure that new algorithms and functionalities work correctly and reliably. Write technical articles and documentation interact with users of Gurobi through our forums and our support channels. Develop materials for use in presentations at events conferences and training sessions. Present new product features and capabilities at technical conferences fostering engagement with Gurobi users. ### What experience and qualifications should you have? Proficient in both written and verbal English. Proficient in one or more programming languages like Python Java C or C++. Master's degree in operations research computer science or similar discipline/experience (Ph.D. preferred) ### What skills and abilities should you have? Passion for programming. Ability to self-educate from online material and trial-and-error exercises. Excellent communication skills to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Linear algebra theory knowledge.
