Responsible for successfully completing the required basic training. Able to perform basic job functions with help from co-workers specialists and managers on non-basic issues. Primary duties may include but are not limited to: Responds to customer questions via telephone and written correspondence regarding insurance benefits provider contracts eligibility and claims. Analyzes problems and provides information/solutions. Operates a PC/image station to obtain and extract information documents information activities and changes in the database. Thoroughly documents inquiry outcomes for accurate tracking and analysis. Develops and maintains positive customer relations and coordinates with various functions within the company to ensure customer requests and questions are handled appropriately and in a timely manner. Researches and analyzes data to address operational challenges and customer service issues. Provides external and internal customers with requested information. Under immediate supervision receives and places follow-up telephone calls / e-mails to answer customer questions that are routine in nature. Uses computerized systems for tracking information gathering and troubleshooting. Requires limited knowledge of company services products insurance benefits provider contracts and claims. Seeks understands and responds to the needs and expectations of internal and external customers. Requirements: Requires a HS diploma or equivalent and previous experience in an automated customer service environment or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. Qualified candidates must be bilingual English/Spanish. Must be able to pass a validated language test/assessment. This position is defined as remote or work-from-home however may need to report into a local office periodically. Have at least one year of customer service experience and demonstrate basic proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook with accurate data entry. They are comfortable navigating web-based applications using Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Strong oral written and interpersonal communication skills are required including the ability to problem-solve facilitate discussions and analyze information. Medical training and/or HIPAA experience is preferred and experience in healthcare and Medicare is a plus. The roles are 100% remote and can be located anywhere in the U.S. within 50 miles of Pulsepoint Must be able to work in EST timezone Additional Details: Work Schedule: Initial Training: 1 week 8:30 am to 5 pm remote. (EST) Nesting: additional 1 week 8:30 am to 5 pm remote. (EST) After training and nesting: Monday through Friday 8 hour shift between 8 am and 8 pm MUST BE FLEXIBLE to work various hours -remote from home. Occasional weekend days 8 hour shift between 8 am and 8 pm remote from home. Potential upskill training based on business needs. Additional 2-3 weeks of training with 1-2 weeks of nesting. Must be available to work the day after Thanksgiving New Year's Day and MLK Jr. Holiday. Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Unless specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager contractors are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week and potentially several times per week.
