| Description | About The Opportunity A recruiting partner serving the Blockchain Web3 and FinTech sectors placing engineers who build smart-contract systems decentralized applications (dApps) and blockchain infrastructure. We are hiring for remote roles across Australia and New Zealand to support high-growth projects focused on DeFi NFTs Layer-2 scaling and enterprise blockchain integrations. Primary standardized title: Blockchain Developer Role & Responsibilities Design implement and deploy secure smart contracts and on-chain components for EVM and/or non-EVM chains (Solidity Rust/Substrate) with a focus on gas optimisation and upgradeability. Build and maintain backend integrations (Node.js/TypeScript) that power dApp APIs indexing services and off-chain data feeds (oracles). Author and execute comprehensive unit/integration tests (Hardhat/Foundry/Truffle) and maintain reproducible local and CI test environments. Collaborate with product and security teams to perform threat-modelling support audits and remediate vulnerabilities before production deployments. Develop developer-facing tooling and documentation (SDKs scripts migration tooling) to reduce onboarding friction for partners and internal teams. Operate deployment pipelines using containerisation and CI/CD monitor live contracts and support incident response for on-chain & off-chain failures. Skills & Qualifications Must-Have 3+ years building production blockchain applications or 2+ years intensive smart-contract development experience. Proven Solidity experience (or Rust for Substrate) and familiarity with EVM semantics gas patterns and upgrade/proxy patterns. Hands-on with testing frameworks (Hardhat/Foundry/Truffle) and experience writing robust unit/integration tests for smart contracts. Experience with Web3 libraries (Ethers.js/Web3.js) JSON-RPC interaction and off-chain indexers or Graph Protocol is desirable. Strong backend skills in Node.js/TypeScript REST/GraphQL APIs and containerised CI/CD workflows (Docker/GitHub Actions/GitLab CI). Eligible to work in Australia or New Zealand and able to collaborate across ANZ timezones for team syncs. Preferred Exposure to Layer-2 solutions zk-rollups Optimistic Rollups or Substrate-based chains. Prior experience in DeFi token design NFTs on-chain governance or enterprise blockchain (Hyperledger). Familiarity with IPFS encryption/cryptography primitives and secure key management patterns. Experience participating in or leading security audits and producing remediation plans. Open-source contributions published tooling or active presence in Web3 developer communities.
