The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure Synapse and exposure to AI/ML technologies and Microsoft Copilot Studio/Agents will be considered a strong plus. Job Type: Contract Location: Remote (USA/Canada) – PST working hours Essential Functions Design build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Synapse Collaborate with data scientists analysts and stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into effective data solutions Ensure data quality integrity and governance by implementing best practices for data management and architecture Develop and optimize queries stored procedures and data transformations to improve performance and reliability Integrate data from multiple sources including cloud services APIs and enterprise systems Partner with teams leveraging AI/ML models to ensure proper data preparation and pipeline support Support business intelligence initiatives by enabling data access through Power BI and other reporting tools Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues ensuring smooth operations across environments Document workflows pipelines and processes to ensure repeatability and compliance with standards Stay updated with Microsoft Azure and emerging data technologies to continuously improve solutions Required Qualifications Minimum 7 years of overall IT experience including 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Azure Synapse Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field Proficiency in SQL data modeling and ETL pipeline development Experience integrating data from multiple structured and unstructured sources Knowledge of Azure Data Factory Data Lake and related Azure ecosystem services Familiarity with AI/ML integration and Microsoft Copilot Studio/Agents (preferred) Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams Experience with Python or other scripting languages is a plus especially for data pipeline automation and AI/ML integrations Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert We are an equal opportunity employer.
