Description	PHP Software Developer FRONTEX (European Border and Coast Guard Agency) 📍 Location: Far-site (EU-based with Warsaw as the base location) 📝 Contract: Freelance – 220 days (up to 48 months including renewals) 🎯 Seniority: Advanced (min. 4 years IT experience) 🎓 Education: Bachelor’s degree in ICT (mandatory) 🌍 English level: B2 (certificate or assessment required) 📅 Expected start date: 01/11/2025 (latest within 3 months of acceptance) 🔎 About the Client FRONTEX the European Border and Coast Guard Agency supports EU Member States in managing the Schengen Area’s external borders. In this mission they require highly specialized IT services to design develop deploy and maintain PHP-based applications and training systems hosted in Microsoft Azure Cloud . 🎯 Role Objectives As a PHP Software Developer you will: Deploy and maintain PHP-based learning & training applications in Microsoft Azure Cloud. Design and implement new software features aligned with evolving business needs. Ensure performance optimization continuity and integration with Frontex systems. Provide ongoing 2nd & 3rd line technical support. Maintain systems through corrective adaptive and preventive actions. ⚙️ Key Responsibilities Development & Deployment Design develop and deploy PHP-based systems in Azure Cloud. Translate business requirements into functional solutions. Conduct performance security and accessibility testing. Produce technical design and user documentation. Prototype new solutions and refine product backlogs. Maintenance & Support Apply adaptive corrective and preventive maintenance. Implement modifications due to system updates plugins and infra changes. Repair failures vulnerabilities and bugs. Provide 2nd & 3rd line daily support. Quality & Delivery Estimate development effort and define coding standards. Ensure 90% of bugs/failures are resolved within each Sprint. Support QA testing change management and release processes. Maintain clear documentation and reporting. 👤 Profile Requirements Experience 4+ years of professional IT experience. 5+ years of PHP development experience. Direct involvement in 3+ successful projects with PHP HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript MySQL/MSSQL. At least 2 years of project work in a similar role. Experience in cloud deployment (min. 2 projects). Strong understanding of the full solution lifecycle. Skills & Knowledge Proficiency in PHP HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript MySQL/MSSQL. Frontend expertise: JS (ES6) CSS extensions Bootstrap. Familiarity with UML system design and Scrum methodologies. Ability to lead development teams. Strong analytical and documentation skills. Certifications (Mandatory – at least 1) Intermediate-level software development certification relevant to the domain OR Equivalent internationally recognized certification (e.g. PHP software architecture).
