This is a critical position to front running data mapping exercises for tax season compares which is required to keep the entire tax project on track for April 2026 live date. Job Responsibilities: Analysis/Comparison of Tax System Outputs including IRS 1220/1187 filings and tax form print files to identify differences/mismatches. Analysis of detailed account transaction and other Tax related datasets to identify the root causes of the differences/mismatches. Documenting discovered defects in detail within JIRA. Monitor and maintain JIRA defects/stories based on work performed. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather/develop requirements related to the JIRA defects/stories by writing clear and concise user stories with acceptance criteria to guide development efforts. Partner with Onboarding and Testing team members to retest resolved defects and/or supplement the testing of resolved defects. Translate feedback and insights from the analysis/research performed to drive continuous enhancements Actively participate in and drive sprint planning reviews and retrospectives to effectively guide the development process. Communicate regularly and build strong relationships with stakeholders to gather feedback share updates and address concerns. Prioritize deliverables and responsibilities where necessary. Communicate effectively and efficiently across departments with staff senior management and clients. Qualifications: Tax Experience: Experience with IRS Rules Regulations and 1220/1187 Tax Form knowledge. Experience with Income Reclass & Cost Basis. Experience with Broadridge products Strong Business analysis and Testing skills on tax products Knowledge of Taxation Principles: Understanding of compensation theories practices and regulations. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills are essential for interpreting data and conducting research. Professional Skills: Detail oriented and well organized – ability to act decisively prioritize workload and adhere to deadlines. Data Analysis Skills: Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software including building analyses and models in Excel. Experience with Power BI or SQL would be a plus. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing. Your Primary Responsibilities Onboarding Project Management. The Onboarding Specialist is responsible for setting up and managing clients from the time they sign-up until onboarding is complete. They must communicate effectively collect and analyze information and move the project through the onboarding process in a timely way. Sales Tax Setting Setup and Testing. The Onboarding Specialist will set up and test tax collection settings on sales platforms. They will diligently troubleshoot and resolve any collection issues to ensure clients are collecting sales tax accurately on their permit start dates. Sales Tax Nexus Reviews. The Onboarding Specialist will analyze various economic and other presence factors to determine where clients have sales tax nexus. They will provide explanations to the client to help inform where they decide to open permits. Contributing to Onboarding Process Improvement. You will work with the Onboarding Team to identify and implement improvements to onboarding workflow so that clients have a hassle-free and enjoyable experience while minimizing risk for both our clients and TaxValet. Making Sense of Transaction Data. Using Excel you will unravel and provide documentation for the clients' transaction data and integrate the data into tax software systems so that you can confirm its accuracy. Specific Measures of Success No surprises here! After a year on the job you'll be measured by these specific outcomes: Onboarding Completion Time. Onboarding clients complete the onboarding process in a meantime of fewer than 60 days. Client Happiness Rating. The clients that you support give you an onboarding NPS (customer happiness) rating of 50 or better. Onboarding Speed. By the end of your first year you are able to finish onboarding an average of 1.5 clients per month. Education Hours. The Onboarding Specialist will complete 3 hours per quarter in work-related education or training. Quarterly Rocks (goals). All rocks have at least an 80% completion rate for the year.
