Role Overview We’re seeking a Software Engineer (Contractor) to work directly with our founders on production-level AI systems. You’ll contribute across the stack from backend infrastructure to frontend features while also experimenting with embeddings retrieval systems and conversational AI workflows. Responsibilities Build full stack features with Python and TypeScript Develop APIs and backend systems connected to AI models Optimize RAG pipelines vector search and embeddings Contribute to frontend interfaces and user-facing features Collaborate in a remote async-first team environment Qualifications Proficiency in Python and TypeScript/React Experience with full stack development (APIs + frontend frameworks) Familiarity with embeddings vector databases and RAG systems Strong communication adaptability and ability to work independently Portfolio GitHub or project links strongly preferred Compensation & Details Flexible hours: 15–40/week remote Independent contractor role (not employment) Performance-based stipend contingent on funding (guaranteed $20/hr equivalent minimum after funding with potential upside based on performance) Opportunity for future employment conversion after funding Job Type: Contract Pay: Up to $80000.00 per year Work Location: Remote |
