About the role: - As a US Payroll Tax Specialist you will support tax related work and issue resolution for the US. You will respond to and prepare tax filings and corrections audit support report requests employee inquiry research and resolution and coverage for other tax team members. You will report to the Director HR Systems and Services Transformation and will be 100% REMOTE. Responsibilities: - Manage the set-up taxing jurisdictions in ADP smart compliance and manage any kickouts to ensure all taxes can be filed Support for year-end activities including W2c creation Process all tax agency notices Review negative wages reporting and resolution FICA out of balance Be the primary support for PowerHub tickets related to the tax team and assign to other team members Research and coordinate resolution for tickets assigned to the tax team and support for tickets assigned to other teams Manage ADP tickets and follow-up Provide support for all audit requests Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 4+ years payroll tax experience 1+ year ADP GlobalView experience required including managing taxes within the system. Job Description This role is responsible for payroll processing overseeing general accounting operations managing financial records and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This role involves processing payroll performing account reconciliations and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The Accountant / Payroll Specialist will also assist in audits improve internal controls and provide detailed analysis of financial data to aid in decision-making. This position is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial operations. This position is remote but must be local to Central Florida for weekly meetings. Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks General Ledger Accounting: Maintain and oversee the general ledger to ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions. Prepare journal entries for payroll benefits depreciation prepaids and accruals. Perform monthly quarterly and annual account reconciliations including bank and balance sheet accounts. Oversee company budgeting. Payroll: Review and validate employee timesheets. Process weekly payroll via ADP Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation by company policy and audit requirements. Month-End and Year-End Close: Lead and participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Reconcile and review all accounts to ensure proper closing and alignment with reporting timelines. Assist in the preparation of audit schedules documentation and act as a liaison during the audit process. Financial Analysis and Special Projects: Support the Finance team in strategic decision-making by preparing ad hoc financial reports and analysis as required. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Regulatory Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with financial policies procedures and internal controls. Assist in implementing and maintaining internal control procedures to safeguard company assets. Qualifications & Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance or related field. Experience: + Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience preferably in the construction industry. + Experience in processing payroll. + Strong knowledge of GAAP financial reporting and accounting processes. + Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks) Essential Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including advanced functions (e.g. pivot tables VLOOKUPs). Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and reconciliation. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
