Position Summary

As an associate attorney you will gain significant experience in complex civil litigation arbitration and appellate advocacy while working at a growing firm with a well-established reputation. To excel you’ll thrive in a fast-paced startup environment work in-office full-time for at least three months to build expertise and team synergy and demonstrate reliability and commitment from day one. You will manage the substantive and procedural aspects of civil litigation arbitration and regulatory proceedings across state federal and appellate courts as well as private forums like FINRA Dispute Resolution. You’ll handle customer and industry disputes negotiate with top-tier financial institutions and represent clients in regulatory inquiries and on-the-record interviews (OTRs). Absent prior experience you will have the opportunity to learn the financial services industry while being guided by industry experts. Supported by experienced colleagues and a dedicated staff you’ll advocate for innovative interpretations of outdated regulations arguing in state federal district and circuit courts and against private individuals entities the SEC the National Adjudicatory Council and organizations such as the CFP Board. Essential Functions

Represent financial advisors in civil litigation arbitration and regulatory proceedings across state and federal courts appellate forums and private venues like FINRA JAMS and AAA Build and maintain enduring client relationships through consistent communication proactively recommending tailored AdvisorLaw solutions to meet client needs Delegate tasks to support staff to effectively meet all deadlines Manage a diverse caseload with precision ensuring timely progress and client satisfaction Identify and implement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs Conduct or supervise legal and regulatory research using tools like Westlaw to support case strategies Affiliate as of counsel with designated outside law firms for specific client matters Perform other duties as assigned by the managing associates and President & Founder
