Job ID R1062484 Type Full Time Location Remote Standard Hours 40 Shift 1st Shift Job Summary The Clinical Triage Specialist role is designed to function in a centralized remote telephonic model that supports the Virtua Medical Group practices and Triage Nurses by performing initial assessment and advisement for patients seeking care. Goals include having the right patient receive the right care in the right venue at the right time and optimizing the use of Same Day Appointment slots. Additionally the role will reduce interruptions to the medical staff providing care at the practices. Position Responsibilities Field incoming calls and performing detailed assessments by phone. Assist the patient in securing appointment(s) as appropriate. Act as a support resource related to handling urgent/emergent patient care questions and utilizing the Triage Nurse. Document the interaction and outcome of the call in the appropriate platforms. Communicate with the patient’s Primary Care Practice and/or Specialty about the interaction and outcome. Navigate patients through the continuum of care. Serve as a concierge service to improve better customer outcomes for optimal transition of care. Also increase Virtua’s business and patient satisfaction by using excellent customer service skills to navigate patients within Virtua and provide assistance according to the caller’s needs. Position Qualifications Required Required Experience Medical Assistant or Patient Care Technician with at least three years of patient and clinical experience. Required Education HS diploma or equivalent. Training / Certification / Licensure Current certification/registration as a Medical Assistant or Patient Care Technician. Hourly Rate $20.69 - $30.95 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
