Title Google Cloud Architect Location Salt Lake City UT (Onsite) Duration Extendable Contract Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GCP Solution Architect with strong expertise in design and architecture on Google Cloud. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building fault-tolerant scalable solutions for multiple clients and will be responsible for the sales-to-delivery pitch. You will be responsible for designing developing testing and deploying cloud native solutions and also mentor existing client resources on multiple initiatives that are in different stages of implementation. If you are looking for a new challenge this role is for you. JD Client Advisory & Consulting 1. Act as a trusted advisor to clients on cloud strategy architecture and modernization 2. Lead client workshops to assess current-state architecture and define future-state GCP solutions 3. Translate business objectives into cloud-native and hybrid GCP architectures 4. Provide architectural governance and ensure adherence to our client standards Solution Architecture & Delivery 1. Design end-to-end GCP architectures covering compute data networking security and DevOps 2. Define cloud migration and modernization approaches (re-host re-platform re-architect) 3. Architect solutions using GKE Cloud Run BigQuery Cloud SQL VPC IAM and related services 4. Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements (security performance resilience cost) 5. Review designs code and infrastructure for quality and best practices Presales & Thought Leadershi p 1. Support presales activities including solutioning effort estimation and proposal responses 2. Contribute to RFPs/RFIs architecture decks and client presentations 3. Provide technical leadership during bid pursuits and client demos 4. Contribute to client's cloud accelerators reference architectures and best practices Governance Security & Optimization 1. Define IAM models security controls logging monitoring and compliance frameworks 2. Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines 3. Drive cost optimization (FinOps) and operational excellence 4. Support audits security reviews and production readiness Required qualifications to be successful in this role 1. 8+ years of IT experience with 3–5 years in cloud architecture/consulting roles 2. Strong hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform 3. Experience working in client-facing consulting engagements 4. In-depth knowledge of 5. GCP Compute Compute Engine GKE Cloud Run 6. Data & Analytics BigQuery Cloud Storage Cloud SQL 7. Networking & Security VPC IAM Load Balancing KMS 8. Strong experience with Kubernetes containers and microservices 9.
