Role Overview The Construction Director leads on-site execution of utility-scale solar EPC projects ensuring safe high-quality on-time and within-budget delivery from NTP to COD. They represent the EPC firm on-site managing subcontractors field teams and client relationships. Key Responsibilities Lead all field operations for projects (20MW–500MW+) overseeing installation of PV modules trackers inverters substations and BOP. Manage site superintendents field teams subcontractors and vendors to ensure safety efficiency and contract compliance. Drive construction schedules control budgets labor productivity and handle change orders and claims. Ensure safety standards conduct audits and enforce OSHA and environmental regulations. Implement QA/QC programs oversee testing commissioning and grid interconnection processes. Serve as the primary on-site liaison with clients and stakeholders providing progress reports and resolving issues. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Construction Management or related field. 10+ years of construction experience with 5+ years in utility-scale solar EPC projects. Strong knowledge of electrical systems substations and grid connections. Proficiency with project management tools (Procore Primavera P6 MS Project). Expertise in EPC project execution contract management and team leadership. Excellent communication problem-solving and stakeholder management skills. Work Environment Primarily at active project sites often remote with frequent travel outdoor work and extended hours to meet project milestones.
