VP Engineering - Infrastructure & SRE

For our client we are seeking a VP Engineering - Infrastructure & SRE to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data AI-enabled capabilities and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering product operations and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture execution quality and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a regulated financial services environment.

Compensation

$400000 – $600000 annually

Responsibilities

Own infrastructure vision and strategy ensuring resilience and compliance Lead and mentor teams fostering a culture of operational excellence Define and enforce service level objectives (SLOs) and manage incident recovery Manage on-call rotations and serve as senior incident commander during outages Direct AWS cloud strategy and manage associated budget Oversee Kubernetes platform and ensure seamless developer experience Champion AI-boosted site reliability engineering (SRE) transformation

Qualifications

15+ years in infrastructure platform or SRE roles with at least 5 years in leadership Hands-on expertise with AWS Kubernetes and relational databases (RDS/Aurora) Proven track record in disaster recovery and business continuity management Experience leading teams in adopting AI-assisted workflows Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or equivalent) Ability to manage large cloud budgets and drive cost-efficiency Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
