Lighting Sales Development Specialist

"Purpose of the Role A sales-focused position responsible for turning more existing opportunities into orders and increasing repeat business from current customers . Responsibilities

Follow up on open estimates that have had no activity or notes for a defined period. Determine why opportunities have stalled and attempt to reactivate them. Coordinate with salespeople when technical or sales assistance is needed. Follow up after completed orders to ensure customer satisfaction and identify additional projects. Develop relationships with purchasing agents contractors architects project managers estimators and decision-makers. Identify repeat business and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts. Use LinkedIn to strengthen customer relationships and identify additional contacts. Keep the CRM completely updated including notes lost-order reasons and next-action dates. Ensure every active opportunity has a clearly defined next step.

Ideal Candidate

Someone who is Warm personable and comfortable talking to customers. Persistent without being aggressive. Comfortable making frequent outbound calls. Organized and excellent at follow-through. Sales-minded and comfortable asking questions and hearing ""no."" Strong with computers CRM systems and LinkedIn. Experienced in lighting B2B sales inside sales SDR/BDR customer success recruiting construction materials or electrical distribution . Experience Preferred 2–5 years of lighting sales or related B2B/customer relationship experience. Lighting industry experience is preferred/required but Alcon is willing to train the right candidate in commercial architectural lighting .

Compensation

Base salary $58000–$68000 Target annual incentive $10000–$15000 Exceptional performer $90000+ potential
