The Linux System Administrator will manage monitor and optimize Linux-based servers and infrastructure that power AtoZEmails.com’s email services. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring and maintaining systems performing regular updates and security patches monitoring performance and addressing incidents to maintain uptime and reliability. The role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues collaborating with support teams to handle escalated tickets and implementing best practices for backup disaster recovery and security. This is a full-time remote role requiring consistent communication with distributed team members participation in on-call rotations and contribution to documentation and process improvements.
Strong System Administration and Linux System Administration skills for managing and optimizing server environments. Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Technical Support to diagnose resolve and document complex system issues. Knowledge of Network Security practices to secure servers services and data in a production environment. Experience with shell scripting automation tools (e.g. Ansible Puppet or similar) and monitoring solutions (e.g. Nagios Prometheus). Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP DNS firewalls VPNs) and email-related technologies (SMTP IMAP spam filtering) is highly beneficial. Ability to work independently in a remote setting manage priorities and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Prior experience in a production or cloud environment (e.g. AWS Azure GCP) and familiarity with version control systems such as Git. Relevant certification (e.g. LPIC RHCSA CompTIA Linux+) or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
