Role Description

The Information Technology Business Analyst is a full-time role that can be based at the company's office in Clonee remotely or through a hybrid working model. The role involves acting as a key liaison between business stakeholders instructors learners and IT teams to understand business and educational objectives analyse existing processes and translate business needs into clear actionable technical requirements. Working as part of a dynamic technology and learning solutions team you will collaborate with project managers software engineers developers testers instructors content teams and other stakeholders to deliver learner-focused digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

include eliciting and documenting business and functional requirements preparing user stories process maps and functional specifications and supporting solution design implementation testing user training and change management activities.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a trusted advisor by providing analysis and recommendations on learning platforms business applications software solutions data-driven learning tools and supporting technologies. Engage with business stakeholders instructors learners and technical teams to elicit analyse document and validate business functional and technical requirements. Conduct feasibility studies cost-benefit analyses and business impact assessments for new platform features applications and technology initiatives. Recommend and support the adoption and integration of emerging technologies to improve learner engagement personalised learning operational efficiency and learning outcomes. Evaluate existing learning processes learner journeys data flows applications and platform functionality identifying opportunities for optimisation and continuous improvement. Prepare business requirements functional specifications user stories process maps and other project documentation to support solution delivery. Support the implementation integration testing deployment and ongoing optimisation of the company's learning platform and related digital systems. Develop and coordinate system testing user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation activities to ensure solutions meet business learner and quality requirements. Support requirements relating to online classes interactive learning assignments and tasks course content learner progress tracking feedback and certificates of completion. Analyse learner engagement and performance data to identify trends strengths areas for improvement and opportunities to provide more personalised content and support. Monitor solution performance analyse business and learning outcomes and recommend enhancements that maximise value for learners and the company. Stay current with industry trends educational technologies data analytics artificial intelligence regulatory requirements and best practices to support continuous innovation and high-quality learner experiences.

Skills

& Experience Proven experience in business analysis including requirements elicitation stakeholder engagement and documentation of business functional and non-functional requirements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data identify trends and provide practical business and learner-focused insights and recommendations. Experience in analysing modelling and improving business and user processes using appropriate methodologies and tools. Good understanding of information technology concepts business applications software development digital platforms cloud services data analytics and system architectures. Experience working with project delivery methodologies such as Agile and/or Waterfall including requirements analysis solution design testing and implementation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders instructors learners and cross-functional technical teams. Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team. Prior experience in an IT Business Analyst software digital platform or technology consulting role is highly desirable. Knowledge or experience in learning management systems educational technology online learning learner analytics artificial intelligence or personalised digital experiences would be advantageous. Willingness to continuously develop technical business and professional expertise.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Computer Science Business Information Systems Software Engineering Data Analytics or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of relevant professional experience and technical expertise may be considered. Knowledge of recognised business analysis frameworks methodologies and industry best practices. Relevant professional certifications such as IIBA ECBA/CCBA/CBAP PMI-PBA Agile Scrum ITIL Microsoft AWS Azure or equivalent would be advantageous but are not essential. Knowledge or experience in educational technology digital learning platforms data analytics or related technologies would be beneficial.
