Operating across AI infrastructure high-performance compute and large-scale technology environments Sharon AI delivers scalable secure and commercially sustainable infrastructure solutions supporting advanced AI workloads globally.
As Senior Network Engineer (L3) you'll be responsible for the design delivery and ongoing operation of Sharon AI's network infrastructure across its EMEA data centre and AI compute environments. You'll own network architecture lead complex troubleshooting and incident resolution and help drive the reliability and scalability of Sharon AI's network as the business and compute footprint grows. Reporting to the Head of Operations you'll work closely with infrastructure data centre and security teams as well as external vendors and connectivity partners. You'll also provide technical mentorship and guidance to L1/L2 Network Engineers across the EMEA team. This is a senior individual contributor role suited to an experienced network professional who enjoys solving complex technical problems taking ownership of architecture and operating in high-availability mission-critical environments.
Own the design implementation and lifecycle management of enterprise network infrastructure including routing switching firewalls and load balancing Act as a senior technical escalation point for complex network incidents across the EMEA region Lead root cause analysis and drive resolution of high-impact network issues Architect and lead network designs for new EMEA deployments and capacity expansions Partner with infrastructure data centre and security teams on network architecture and deployment Define and maintain network security architecture including segmentation VPNs and firewall policy standards Drive capacity planning and network scaling strategy as Sharon AI's infrastructure and compute footprint grows Lead automation and tooling initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve network reliability at scale Maintain and continuously improve network documentation architecture diagrams configuration standards and change records Provide technical mentorship and guidance to L1/L2 Network Engineers including reviewing designs and configurations Represent the network function in technical discussions with internal stakeholders and external vendors Support hardware connectivity and carrier-related technical discussions across the region Participate in and help structure the EMEA on-call rotation supporting critical infrastructure outside of business hours
& Experience 6–10+ years' experience as a Network Engineer with progression into senior or lead technical roles Strong experience within data centre enterprise cloud or ISP environments Expert-level knowledge of routing and switching protocols including BGP OSPF VLAN and STP Proven experience designing and supporting enterprise network architectures Strong experience with firewalls VPNs and load balancers at scale Experience with technologies such as Palo Alto Fortinet F5 Cisco Arista or Juniper Strong track record of network incident response and root cause analysis in high-availability environments Excellent understanding of network security architecture and best practice Demonstrated ability to mentor and technically guide less experienced engineers Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across multiple regions Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Information Technology Networking or a related discipline Advanced networking certifications such as CCNP CCIE JNCIP or equivalent will be highly regarded Hands-on experience with data centre and high-performance compute networking including technologies such as InfiniBand RDMA or low-latency fabrics is strongly preferred. Experience within technology cloud AI infrastructure or high-performance compute environments will be highly regarded.
