MapleCraft Engineers is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join its fully remote engineering team. The role focuses on cloud infrastructure automation continuous delivery infrastructure as code monitoring security and system reliability. The successful candidate will work closely with developers and other engineering teams to improve deployment processes automate repetitive tasks troubleshoot incidents and create a more efficient engineering environment. This position is well suited to a hands-on DevOps professional who enjoys solving infrastructure challenges and building systems that are scalable secure and resilient.
Architect build and optimize cloud infrastructure. Work primarily with AWS while remaining open to other cloud platforms. Automate CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows. Develop and maintain infrastructure as code. Improve deployment speed reliability and consistency. Collaborate with developers to streamline software delivery. Manage infrastructure security scalability and performance. Configure monitoring logging and alerting systems. Identify and resolve infrastructure and production issues. Troubleshoot incidents and work toward preventing recurring problems. Improve system resilience and operational reliability. Collaborate across engineering teams to improve the overall developer experience. Evaluate and introduce technologies that improve infrastructure operations.
Candidates should have 2+ years of hands-on DevOps experience or equivalent practical expertise. Current U.S. residency. Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship. Experience with one or more major cloud platforms including AWS Azure or Google Cloud. Strong knowledge of Docker. Experience with Kubernetes. Experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code. Experience building or managing CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins GitHub Actions GitLab CI/CD or CircleCI. Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python or Bash. Experience with infrastructure monitoring and observability. Familiarity with tools such as Prometheus Grafana or Datadog. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced collaborative environment. Cloud Infrastructure & Automation A major focus of this position is building cloud infrastructure that can support reliable and scalable engineering operations. The DevOps Engineer will help automate infrastructure provisioning and operational processes using tools such as Terraform while leveraging cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud. Infrastructure automation can help teams Reduce repetitive manual work. Create consistent environments. Improve deployment reliability. Scale infrastructure more efficiently. Reduce configuration errors. Support faster development cycles. CI/CD & Developer Experience The role will also contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery practices. The engineer will work with development teams to make application deployment more predictable and efficient. This may include designing pipelines automating testing and deployment steps improving release processes and identifying bottlenecks in the software delivery lifecycle. Experience with Jenkins GitHub Actions GitLab CI/CD or CircleCI is valuable for this work. Monitoring Security & Reliability Reliable infrastructure requires more than successful deployments. The DevOps Engineer will help establish monitoring and alerting systems that provide visibility into infrastructure and application performance. Relevant responsibilities include Creating meaningful monitoring metrics. Configuring alerts for operational issues. Investigating performance problems. Supporting incident response. Identifying potential reliability risks. Improving infrastructure security. Monitoring system capacity and scalability. Tools such as Prometheus Grafana and Datadog may be used to support observability and operational awareness. Remote Work Environment This is a 100% remote U.S.-only position. The successful candidate should be comfortable collaborating with distributed engineering teams and managing responsibilities independently.
