The Co-Op DevOps Engineer at LiveRamp is a pivotal role responsible for designing building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers LiveRamp’s core data and onboarding services. This position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to develop reliable scalable and secure database and infrastructure solutions. The engineer will implement operational tooling for observability incident detection and automated remediation thereby enhancing system resilience and reducing mean time to recovery (MTTR). The role also encompasses maintaining and improving CI/CD pipelines automating infrastructure provisioning through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and collaborating with security and application teams to ensure compliance with privacy and reliability standards. As part of the team the engineer will contribute to building and operating large-scale database tools analytics and AI/ML workloads utilizing technologies such as MySQL SingleStore Kubernetes Jenkins and cloud services. The role offers an excellent opportunity to participate in high-impact projects drive technological innovation and support the evolution of LiveRamp’s platform infrastructure. The position involves ownership of on-call responsibilities incident management and the development of technical documentation ensuring continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience Interest or experience in DevOps Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or infrastructure-focused work Proficiency with at least one major cloud provider (AWS GCP Azure) and associated managed services Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform CloudFormation or similar Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline design and operation (e.g. Jenkins GitHub Actions GitLab CI) Background in Linux systems containers and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or ECS Understanding of observability stacks including metrics logs and tracing Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python Go or Bash Strong collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork Ability to participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response efforts
Design build and deploy infrastructure tools including Kubernetes clusters networks and databases Implement and enhance operational tooling for observability incident detection and automated remediation Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and terraform scripts to streamline deployment processes Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to enable self-service environments Collaborate with security application and platform teams to deliver reliable secure database infrastructure Own and participate in on-call incident management troubleshooting and resolution Create comprehensive runbooks and technical documentation for operational support Drive technological innovation by evaluating new tools building proofs of concept and designing scalable solutions Build and operate large-scale database and analytics infrastructure supporting AI/ML workloads Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure compliance with privacy security and performance standards
