About the Role

Montreal College of Information Technology is seeking an expert Bilingual Azure Data Engineering Instructor to teach our comprehensive curriculum covering Azure Synapse Analytics Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Databricks. You will guide career changers and aspiring data professionals through a rigorous hands-on syllabus transforming them into job-ready cloud data practitioners. Program Page https//www.montrealcollege.ca/diplomas/business-intelligence-analyst Curriculum Scope & What You Will Teach You will lead live classes through a structured project-driven syllabus divided into core technology modules Azure Synapse Analytics & Data Warehousing Architecting cloud data warehouses managing dedicated vs. serverless SQL pools table distribution/partitioning strategies data migration and advanced analytics with Spark pools. Azure Data Factory & Data Pipelines Designing robust ETL/ELT pipelines mapping/wrangling data flows pipeline orchestration triggers security/compliance and data governance integration (Azure Purview). Azure Databricks & Delta Lake Setting up workspaces Apache Spark (RDDs DataFrames Spark SQL) Lakehouse architecture with Delta Lake (ACID transactions time travel) MLlib machine learning basics and workflow automation.

Key Responsibilities

Live Instruction Deliver engaging evening sessions (Mon & Wed 1800–2000) using a bilingual (English/French) approach. Practical Mentorship Oversee hands-on lab sessions helping students build real-world pipelines manage cloud clusters and troubleshoot code. Student Success Assess technical projects provide actionable feedback and prepare students for employment in Montreal's tech sector.

Required Qualifications

Industry Experience Proven professional background as a Data Engineer Cloud Data Architect or Senior BI Developer. Technical Mastery Deep hands-on expertise in Azure Data Factory Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Databricks (Apache Spark / Delta Lake). Language

Skills

Fully bilingual (English and French) with the ability to explain complex architectural concepts fluently in both languages. Communication A passion for teaching mentoring and guiding students from diverse professional backgrounds.
