The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity to join our legal team as a Volunteer Lawyer. This role is ideal for a solicitor or barrister who is eager to contribute their expertise to assist our in-house legal team in the UK. You will play a crucial role in supporting a wide range of legal activities ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and providing high-quality legal support. We are seeking applicants with experience in transactional commercial and contract law. About the Role Key Responsibilities Assisting with reviewing drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements funding agreements partnership agreements memorandums of understanding and other corporate documents. Identifying and providing commercial solutions to problems. Reviewing commenting and drafting commercial agreements with minimal supervision. Liaising with external legal professionals and other stakeholders as required. Supporting the team and organisation in managing legal risks and compliance including maintaining records and ensuring appropriate documentation. Attending and supporting meetings including taking notes or drafting follow-up actions as needed. Supporting teams across the organisation with legal queries and liaising with internal colleagues in a professional respectful and timely manner Skills Required Qualified solicitor barrister legal executive or equivalent experience in the UK. Strong knowledge of UK legal systems and regulatory frameworks. Excellent analytical and research skills with the ability to handle complex legal issues. High-level communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools and legal research platforms. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively along with team working. Comfortable working independently on matters at short notice and in accordance with tight timeframes. Commitment A minimum commitment of 5 hours per week with flexibility to accommodate additional hours when required.
