### About the Project We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join an exciting project in the Education Technology (EdTech) domain. You will become part of a small agile cross-functional team working closely with developers and product stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality accessible web applications. This role combines automation and manual testing (50/50) and is ideal for an engineer who enjoys taking ownership working independently and contributing to both quality strategy and day-to-day feature validation. ### Responsibilities Design develop and maintain automated UI tests using Playwright and TypeScript Perform functional regression smoke and exploratory testing of new features Execute both manual and automated test scenarios as part of the development lifecycle Collaborate closely with developers Product Owners and Business Analysts in an Agile environment Create and maintain test documentation test cases and bug reports Participate in sprint planning backlog refinement daily stand-ups and retrospectives Identify quality risks and proactively improve testing processes Ensure web applications meet accessibility standards and deliver an excellent user experience ### Required Skills 4+ years of experience in Software QA including automation testing Strong hands-on experience with Playwright Solid knowledge of TypeScript and Node.js Experience performing both manual functional testing and test automation Strong understanding of web application testing principles Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps (ADO) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage testing activities with minimal supervision ### Nice to Have Experience in the EdTech domain Experience with Medicaid in Education including knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEP) or school-based Medicaid billing workflows Hands-on experience with Accessibility (a11y) testing Knowledge of WCAG 2.x and Section 508 compliance requirements Experience using accessibility testing tools such as axe-core Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution ### What We’re Looking For We’re looking for a proactive QA Engineer who enjoys owning the quality process from requirements through release.
