Job Summary We're looking for a Database Administrator to help keep the data behind our insurance operations fast reliable and secure. Our work supports coverage for civil infrastructure projects — think bridges tunnels and other large-scale builds — so the data you manage plays a real role in protecting the people and projects that keep communities moving. Key Responsibilities Keeping our SQL Server (or similar relational database) environments healthy — performance tuning monitoring and troubleshooting. Managing backups disaster recovery and making sure we never lose sleep over data loss. Handling access permissions and security best practices (insurance data is sensitive so this matters) Working with our dev team on database design queries and optimization for internal tools and client-facing apps Planning for growth — capacity scaling and keeping things future-proof Occasionally translating ""the database is slow"" into an actual diagnosis and fix. Qualifications Solid hands-on experience with SQL Server (or a comparable relational database like PostgreSQL/MySQL) Comfort with backups replication indexing and query optimization A practical understanding of data security and compliance (bonus if you've worked in insurance finance or another regulated industry) Good communication skills — you'll work with both technical and non-technical folks Experience with project management and issue-tracking tools (Jira Linear Zenhub Monday.com) Experience with AI-powered digital assistant (Copilot Chatgpt Gemini) Experience with AI-enabled tools Advanced English Experience in cloud-based platform and git repository hosting (GitHub Gitlab Azure DevOps Repos) What we offer!!
