We use Klaviyo Monday Figma Slack Fathom and a stack of internal AI tools built to keep quality high at volume. The Role You own a portfolio of ecommerce email and SMS programs. You set the strategy for each account you are the person the client trusts and you carry the number. You start with three to four accounts and grow into six to eight as you find your footing. You will not be handed a strategy to execute. You read the data decide what the account needs brief the work hold the quality bar and defend the recommendation to the client. Our design copy and staging teams execute alongside you. Your job is to make sure what they execute is the right thing. A large share of the production work runs through an internal AI pipeline. You run that pipeline edit its output until it clears our quality bar and make it better. The people who do well here treat that pipeline as something they own and improve not a tool they were handed. What you will do Own the client relationship Run the weekly client call set the agenda present performance bring a recommendation and defend it Respond to client questions in Slack and email within SLA and make the marketing calls yourself instead of routing them upward Own every follow-up and keep the client's Monday board honest ticket status due dates blockers Watch account health. Know when a client is drifting surface it early and bring a plan before the renewal conversation does Escalate scope commercial and contract questions to the founder. Everything else is your call. Own the numbers Build the account's performance narrative revenue opens clicks unsubscribes top and bottom performers read against last month and last year Find patterns which content pillars marketing angles products and send times drive performance and which do not Run tests develop hypotheses and tests to validate or invalidate them Set targets and forecast against them then explain the gap when you miss and the cause when you beat it Turn what you see in the numbers into concrete calendar copy flow and segmentation decisions Own the program blasts and flows Set the monthly content calendar and the strategy underneath it pillars offers cadence segmentation Own the flow program lifecycle architecture what is missing what is underbuilt and what is worth rebuilding Own list health and deliverability sending reputation suppression and sunset practice engagement segmentation Write the briefs that design and copy execute against. A thin brief is yours to fix not theirs. Review designs before they go to the client and push back on the design team when something misses the brief the brand or the offer Finalize subject lines and preview text against the client's tone guide Run and improve the AI pipeline Run the AI copy pipeline across your accounts and edit its output until it clears our bar and sounds like the client not a bot Feed what you learn back into the pipeline better prompts better context better briefs so each round needs less editing than the last Catch tone brand offer and copy issues before anything leaves the account Learn each client's voice deeply enough to spot when copy sounds off Contribute to how the agency works Bring a point of view to strategy conversations across the agency not just on your own accounts Feed what works on your accounts back into the playbook pillars angles testing standards brief structure Raise the bar for the people around you and leave the systems better than you found them What you need 5+ years in email marketing including at least 1 year agency side. More agency time is better. Ecommerce or DTC background you understand how a store makes money not just how an ESP works Deep in Klaviyo you have built flow architecture segmentation strategy and reporting and you can audit an account you inherit and say what is broken Strong AI operator you use tools like Claude and ChatGPT daily to draft copy brief designers summarize calls and pull insights and you know when the model's output is off and needs a human hand Process builder with AI you have taken a repetitive part of your job and turned it into a prompt template or workflow that made you faster the next week Systems thinker you naturally look for the underlying structure of a workflow an account or a client's program and you see how the parts connect and where the leverage is Deeply comfortable with data you dive into numbers to understand what is actually happening in an account use the data to build a mental model of the system and let what you find shape your next move Sharp editor you can look at AI-drafted or human-drafted copy and tighten it into something that sounds like the client not like a bot Sharp eye for detail typos off-brand phrases and wrong links do not get past you Extremely organized you own multiple accounts without dropping tickets deadlines or client asks Client-credible you can walk a founder or a CMO through a bad month and keep their trust and tell a client no when the answer is no You have owned an outcome rather than a task list revenue retention or program performance you were personally accountable for Bonus points Owning an SMS program end to end Subscription or replenishment brands Taking an account through a replatform or an ESP migration Comfort with Monday.com Figma and Google Workspace Mentoring or managing a junior marketer Logistics Full-time Remote hiring globally US working hours required.
