The Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) is seeking a talented Digital Content Specialist to run our South Asia social media channels and support our South Asia research team in producing high-quality engaging and interactive content.      The Digital Content Specialist in South Asia will own the day-to-day management of IEEFA South Asia's social media presence and work closely with the South Asia communications team to help elevate the design and accessibility of the organization's work. This role may also be required to support other regions where IEEFA operates. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker with attention to detail and a strong background in social media management digital content creation report formatting and multimedia production bringing a proactive approach and 'can do' attitude to help increase the impact and timeliness of the team's work.    This role requires self-motivation the ability to multitask and the ability to work independently without continuous supervision. As part of a remote team in India the successful candidate will need to communicate effectively with other team members over a variety of mediums (video calls Signal G-suite ClickUp etc.) feel comfortable raising issues or questions along the way and provide insights into their work.     IEEFA is a rapidly growing NGO / not-for-profit that conducts research and analysis on financial and economic issues related to energy markets trends and policies. Headquartered in the United States IEEFA has a team of 70+ analysts and communications personnel located in 15 countries across the globe. IEEFA produces a significant volume of original research as well as ongoing analysis and reports on issues affecting energy industries. Our major research reports daily analysis press coverage and other resources can be found on our website www.ieefa.org    Responsibilities   Social media and content (core)   Manage IEEFA South Asia’s social media accounts including scheduling publishing and community engagement.   Write platform-appropriate social media captions and design visually appealing creatives translating IEEFA research into clear accurate and engaging posts.   Ensure social media captions are British English and follow IEEFA’s style guide.    Design compelling data-driven social media creatives on Canva that prioritise charts infographics and visual storytelling across both static and motion design while following IEEFA’s brand guidelines.   Build and maintain a social media content calendar aligned with the South Asia publication pipeline and relevant news moments in coordination with analysts and the communications team.   Edit and produce short-form videos for social media and digital campaigns.    Monitor and report on social media performance using analytics to refine content and inform regional communications strategy.  Design and publications  Design and format IEEFA publications and reports in Adobe InDesign and MS word ensuring consistency with brand and style guidelines including providing cover when the lead designer is on leave.  Collaborate with analysts and the communications team to distil complex technical information into clear accessible and engaging content.  Supporting responsibilities  Support the design layout and dissemination of email newsletters (HubSpot or similar tools).  Assist with the management of the South Asia region’s website content for reports and related collateral including creation of landing pages and content publishing.  Contribute to global and regional communications initiatives and projects as required.  Commitment to IEEFA’s mission to accelerate the transition towards a sustainable diverse and profitable energy economy.    Required Qualifications   2–5 years of experience in digital content creation graphic design or communications.  Demonstrated experience managing organisational social media accounts (LinkedIn Youtube and X) including familiarity with scheduling and analytics tools.  Bachelor’s degree in design communications media or related fields.  Proficiency in Canva Adobe InDesign MS word and basic video editing software.  Familiarity with HubSpot or other newsletter / email marketing platforms.  Strong writing and editing skills in British English with a proven ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.  Strong attention to detail and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.  Ability to work autonomously and in a collaborative team environment.  Ability to work remotely while liaising with IEEFA analysts and the communications team globally using online platforms.    Preferred Qualifications  Experience creating motion graphics or animations for digital platforms.  Knowledge of CMS platforms (Drupal WordPress or similar).  Interest or familiarity with energy climate or sustainability topics.    Compensation  Full-time 12-month fixed-term employment contract with the option of extension by mutual agreement and market-competitive remuneration. Pay rates are also based on education skill experience level and internal equity.    Work Schedule   Full-time 40 hours/week with occasional evening or weekend work as required.     Travel   Some travel is required. All team members attend IEEFA’s annual conference and team retreat.    Physical Demand and Work Environment.   Must be able to work for prolonged periods at a computer.
