UK Digital Legal/Court Reporter (Logger/Recording Technician) Remote (London Based) – Freelance A digital legal/court reporter attends hearings either in person or remotely to record and take of log of the proceedings. eScribers is continually seeking to engage with digital reporters (logger) in the London area to join our highly skilled and dedicated UK team of professionals. A Digital Reporter/Logger’s duties will include: Transporting and setting up of digital recording equipment both remotely and on location. Managing the recording and logging of events in a professional and efficient manner adhering to agreed timescales and seeking appropriate support when necessary. Communicating effectively and appropriately with colleagues clients and venue staff in order to best achieve eScribers’ contractual obligations to the highest standards. Building relationships with clients and host venues to ensure the smooth running of the event and to facilitate the transfer of information to enable a quality transcript to be produced. Possessing an understanding of Court proceedings and basic legal terminology. Providing a high level of customer service and support to all Stakeholders. Identifying and troubleshooting common issues. Attention to detail and accuracy. eScribers offers competitive daily rates. The availability to travel within other locations including Belfast Birmingham Bristol Cardiff and Manchester including overnight stays will be a bonus Other advantages: Understanding of legal terminology Courtroom experience Previous experience as a Digital Reporter/Logger - while this is not essential varying factors (eg location previous experience) may determine suitability. Be able to work in person (on location) and remotely (eg in a quiet room in your home) Basis of Engagement: Successful candidates will be offered a freelancer contract and will be compensated on agreed rates. As an independent contractor you will submit/approve invoices for the work you complete and will be paid via direct deposit. The nature of freelancing is that the volume of work can fluctuate and there is no guarantee of the level of work that may be offered. However priority for work will always be given to editors who maintain excellent quality standards in the submission of their assignments. We seek a highly detail-oriented legal billing specialist with at least three years of billing experience in a law firm to join our collaborative administration team. Responsibilities include: Attending to items in both individual and shared email inboxes in a timely and organized manner.
