Experience with Data Storage Ingestion and Transformation (Spark Kafka or similar tools). You are passionate about solving data problems at Scale. About Us The Senior Software Engineer on the Platform team will design performant foundational systems and developer integration tooling supporting our other backend software engineering teams: API internal services and data science. The Platform team's solutions better enable these teams to rapidly develop mission-critical solutions and applications for our customers and for our operations & supply chain teams with greater consistency performance security operability and maintainability. They will work closely with the DevOps team to enable reliable infrastructure effective automation and self-service. They rely on their own experience while performing additional research as necessary to arrive at the best solution for each task. They have proven records being the tech lead on complex cross-team projects proactively raising issues and resourcefully unblocking themselves to ensure projects are delivered with high quality and within the expected timeline. They can constructively debate any issue persuade others with hard evidence while staying objective and open to changing their mind. In short they will support the foundation of our entire engineering team’s continued success. Responsibilities Own mission-critical and high scale systems and integrations particularly those that support operations data science and other dev teams Design document and support tooling and integrations that accelerate other backend engineering teams’ velocity through outstanding developer experience and minimized cognitive load Drive important technical discussions and help the team arrive at the best possible solution given any constraints we may face.
