NASA Federal credit Union is looking for a Financial Advisor who provides professional advisory services to Retail and Business clients. Prepares and delivers comprehensive financial plans that may include portfolio reviews analysis and assessments pre/post retirement planning asset allocations strategies and account management. Enhances and expands the overall penetration and participation levels of the current investment program and ensures on-going quality service to existing member/clients.     This is a Hybrid position.  You must reside in Maryland Washington DC or Virginia. ➡ ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following with other duties as assigned. ➡ Remains cognizant of and adheres to Credit Union policies and procedures and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.  Identifies potential clients using advertising campaigns mailing lists referral sources and personal contacts. Solicits business from prospects by pro-actively communicating available services. Profiles clients to determine current investment objectives while addressing overall financial goals. Provides clients with information and advice on a range of offerings to include Mutual Funds Annuities Advisory accounts Life Insurance and other broker/dealer approved financial products/services. Opens and services new accounts while finalizing completed sales and routing documents for processing. Reviews status reports and performs calculations to monitor client accounts and verify transactions. Develops and implements financial plans using available software. Processes incoming client mail paperwork and all other necessary aspects of account servicing. Interfaces with mutual fund companies insurance companies clearinghouses and the Broker/Dealer in efficiently meeting member/client service needs while keeping current on product offerings and regulatory changes. Listens empathetically to clients and gathers facts analyzes total needs and makes responsible recommendations. Builds long-term financial advisory relationships with clients. Manages incoming referrals from assigned branches and surrounding territories. Maintains member/client files and records in accordance with regulatory and firm requirements. Conducts offline or online research to resolve member/client problems. Sets and keeps consistent office hours. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE ➡ Two plus years of relevant experience and/or training in sales of investment products (ideally in a bank/credit union environment). College Degree preferred.
